Feedback

We recommend the rpm management tool named Smart.
We do recommend it because urpmi or rpmdrake are buggy tools and in some cases
they create inexistant problems during installation that would never occur when using smart
since our rpms are rpm tested before they are publicly available.

So please add our MDE repository with command (as root):
urpmi.addmedia --update MDE http://www.mde.djura.org/2008.1/RPMS with hdlist.cz

Then also as root in a console run: urpmi smart-gui

You are now ready to run smart, simply click in the smart icon
or in a console enter: smart-root --gui

Note:   MDE smart haves all needed repositories, but if for some reason
the existant repositories dont work, enter Easy Urpmi and add them.

The repositories main, contrib, plf-free and plf-nonfree have frequently needed
rpms, so if you intend to use urpmi or rpmdrake dont forget to add them.

You should check Easy Urpmi to add needed RPM resources.

Since isnt possible to update the kernel (mandriva still didnt resolved this issue), is needed to "manually"
install the kernel-source of the corresponding version-release kernel installed, then just reboot.
